Olivia grew up in the South East of England and from a young age was a part of internationally acclaimed Cantate Youth Choir where her solo singing began. In 2004 she started her studies at Canterbury Christ Church University, where she graduated with a BMus (Hons). Whilst at Canterbury Olivia studied with Renee Salewski and in her final year won the prestigious Alan Parnell singing prize, and performed in the Canterbury Festival.
In 2008 Olivia moved to Birmingham Conservatoire where she completed her PGDip. During her time there she was a finalist of the Cecil Drew Oratorio Prize and performed roles including Bradamante in Alcina, Mrs Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Mad Margaret Ruddigore and Woman one in the World Premiere of Keith Warner and David Blake’s Scoring A Century.
During and since her time at Birmingham Conservatoire Olivia has studied with Christine Cairns.
More recently, Olivia toured the south of India as a soloist with Toccata UK Productions for charitable causes, performed in The Pastoral Messiah (Unexpected Opera) and most recently covered the Sorceress in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas (Porcupine Productions). Olivia regularly performs across the UK in Oratorio and has appeared with Opera Anywhere in festivals around Oxfordshire.
Olivia most recently performed the role of Mercedes in Opera Up Close’s production of Carmen directed by Rodula Gaitanou.
